Unarmed Security & Event Specialist
As a Security Specialist at Crimson Group Shield group, you play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of attendees, staff, and property during various events. Your responsibilities include:
Visible Presence
Maintain a visible and professional presence according to the standards of the client and your organization.
Collaboration
Collaborate with event staff, law enforcement, and emergency services to coordinate security efforts and resolve issues.
Professionalism
Uphold company policies, procedures, and guidelines to maintain a high standard of professionalism and security effectiveness.
Access Control
Monitor access points, conduct bag checks, perform entry screenings, and remain vigilant for any suspicious parties or situations.
Customer Service
Provide exceptional customer service by assisting attendees, answering questions, and offering directions when needed.
Emergency Response
Respond promptly and effectively to security incidents or emergencies, including medical situations, disturbances, or unauthorized entry.
Documentation
Report security-related occurrences or incidents to the appropriate supervisor or medical personnel. Create and maintain documentation of relevant activities.
Patrol and Deter Unauthorized Activities
Patrol assigned areas to deter unauthorized activities and ensure everyone’s safety.
Certifications
Relevant certifications such as SANS, GIAC, CISSP, GCED, SEC501, GSEC, SEC401, GCIA, CISM, and CISPP can be beneficial.
Remember that working as an Event Security Specialist often involves crowded events at sports stadiums, concert theaters, or convention halls. You’ll need to be on your feet for extended periods while ensuring safety measures are implemented.
As a Security Specialist, you will:

Armed Security & Event Specialist
1. Patrolling and Assessing Threats**: You’ll patrol a designated area to assess for threats, ensuring safety and security. This involves monitoring surveillance equipment, and alarm systems, and investigating alarms or suspicious activities.
2. Maintaining Weapons: Armed Security Officers are trained and licensed to carry weapons. You’ll be responsible for maintaining and securing your weapon while on duty.
3. Responding to Emergencies: In times of extreme attack or when non-violent options have been exhausted, you may need to use your weapon. Quick decision-making skills are crucial in such situations.
4. Documenting Incidents**: Armed Security Officers document incidents in security logs or reports. This includes recording details of visitors to the facility and submitting incident reports after noteworthy developments.
5. Safety Measures and Equipment: Ensuring that security equipment remains in excellent working order is essential. You’ll also implement new security measures if required.
